Our Humble Story
The first Aztecas opened its doors back in 1996 in the city of Mobile, AL.
With the help of Ruben Jimenez, Armando Rodriguez managed to provide authentic Mexican food in an atmosphere that reflected Colonial Mexico.
Armando wanted to prove that Mexico not only had good food to offer but a rich architecture as well. It was also important to create a family-friendly atmosphere, dining outside has always been a tradition in Mexican families for this very reason patios are included in all of our restaurants. With the help of his cousin, Orlando Godoy, Armando was able to fulfill his vision when he opened Hacienda San Miguel Mexican Restaurant in 2005.
Hacienda San Miguel was the very first restaurant they both opened from scratch. They learned from their initial mistakes and it wasn't long before they continued with their ultimate goal. To provide an escape for families where great Mexican food and detailed traditional architecture makes for an unforgettable dining experience.
Fast-forward to today and Aztecas & Hacienda San Miguel have a total of 7 locations serving thousands of customers across the Gulf Coast.
